Things To DoIn January, During Your Term of Office WHEN YOU COMPLETE EACH ITEM - CHECK IT OFF. 1. Contact each club president. 2. Conduct division council meeting (p. 122-124). Request progress reports from each club and members of division leadership team. Review district/division goals and progress. Plan a special guest week or month when all clubs conduct membership campaigns. Advise club presidents to review their membership roster at the February board of directors meeting. Refer to Membership Development Manual for ideas. Provide update on upcoming meetings and events. Encourage clubs to financially support delegates attending district and International conventions (incoming club presidents and secretaries should be given priority). Discuss date, time, and location of official election of next year’s lieutenant governor and lieutenant governorelect (if applicable). Ask for additional names of potential candidates. Remind sponsoring clubs of Key Club and Circle K district convention dates. 3. Contact candidates for lieutenant governor. Schedule informational meeting in February for candidates for lieutenant governor-elect and/or lieutenant governor-designate to review roles and responsibilities. 4. Update calendar. Plan to attend all district meetings. Begin making plans to attend district and International conventions. 5. Support membership campaigns. Participate in the kick-off events of any clubs starting membership campaigns. File Federal Income Tax Report Form 990/990EZ to I.R.S. by February 15 (p. 141, US clubs only). Send Membership Record and New Member Add forms and fees to the International and district offices. 2.
