In February, During Your Term of Office
WHEN YOU COMPLETE EACH ITEM - CHECK IT OFF.
1. Contact each club president.
2. Conduct information meeting for potential candidates.
Invite all potential candidates for lieutenant governor-elect and lieutenant governor-designate to discuss roles
and responsibilities of position.
3. Reports.
Submit Lieutenant Governor’s Report of Official Club Visits by March 15.
Ensure the Federal Income Tax Report Form 990/990EZ was filed with the IRS by February 15 (p. 141, US clubs
only).

1. Meet with club secretary.
Review first quarter club and board meetings; committee programs/projects; membership growth; member
involvement; involvement in division, district, and International events and programs.
Review club budget and goals. Look for areas of success and also needed improvements.

In February, During Your Term of Office
WHEN YOU COMPLETE EACH ITEM - CHECK IT OFF.
1. Reports.
File Form 990/990EZ with IRS by February 15 (p. 141, US clubs only).
2. Convention delegates (Bylaws, Article XV).
International convention. The club may send two delegates, who should be elected at least 60 days prior to the
convention. File the Certificate of Election of Delegates and Alternates form sent by the International Office as
soon as the club elects the delegates (note deadline printed on certificate). Next year’s club president should be
a delegate.
District convention. The club may send three delegates, who should be elected by the club at least 30 days prior
to the convention. Submit form to the district office.
3. Follow up.
Ensure member dues are up to date.
4. Nominating committee.
Conduct Annual Club Meeting between April 1 and second week in May (p. 109). (Bylaws, Articles XI and XII)
President must appoint nominating committee five weeks prior to Annual Club Meeting.
5. Sponsored Organizations.
If you sponsor a Key Club or Circle K club, confirm that the newly elected club officers will receive instruction
during March or April. Education information is available from the Key Club and Circle K departments.
If you sponsor a Circle K club outside of the US, ensure the club secretary has submitted each club member’s
International dues by February 1.
