Kiwanis Leadership Guide - Lt. Gov's April Agenda
Things To Do
In April, During Your Term of Office
WHEN YOU COMPLETE EACH ITEM - CHECK IT OFF.
1. Contact each club president.
Check progress on club goals.
Collect monthly reports by the 10th of each month.
Verify that each club conducts official annual club meeting and election between first meeting in April and
second week in May. Club election report due June 1. (See Standard Form for Club Bylaws, Articles XI and XII.)
Encourage delegate selection to International convention and completion of Certificate of Election of Delegates
and Alternates forms and registration forms.
Remind sponsoring clubs of Key Club and Circle K International Conventions.

In April, During Your Term of Office
WHEN YOU COMPLETE EACH ITEM - CHECK IT OFF.
1. Due dates.
Pay semiannual dues by April 1.
2. Annual Club Meeting/Election of Officers.
Conduct between April 1 and second week in May. (See Standard Form for Club Bylaws, Articles XII and XIII, and
Annual Club Meeting [p. 109].)
3. Conventions.
Select three club members as delegates to the district convention and two as delegates to International
convention. Next year’s club president should be one of the delegates the club sends.
Secretary must fill out a Certificate of Election Delegates form, and send convention registration and housing
reservations to International Office.
4. Membership development.
Committee should finalize plans for a Special Guest Day. Continually encourage members to bring guests.
5. Worldwide Service Project.
With club chairman, review the number of members who have made a personal contribution to the project.
Ensure all members have been given the opportunity to participate.
6. Sponsored Programs.
Assist your sponsored clubs with end-of-year recognition activities.
Invite their parents and have Kiwanis materials available for them.
Present mementos to outgoing officers and faculty advisors.
7. Young Children: Priority One
Ask the chairman to complete an award application for any Young Children projects worthy of recognition.

1. Dues dates.
Pay semiannual dues to Kiwanis International and district by April 1. Submit with March Official Monthly Report.
2. Annual Club Meeting/Election of Officers.
Conduct between April 1 and second week in May (p. 109). Secretary and treasurer present reports at Annual
Club Meeting.
3. Membership development.
Continually encourage members to bring guests.
4. Worldwide Service Project.
Remind president and club chairman to review the number of members who have made a personal contribution
to the project. Ensure all members have been given the opportunity to participate.
5. Sponsored Organizations.
Ensure representatives from your Key Club and Circle K attend their International conventions.
6. Young Children: Priority One
