Kiwanis International Skip-A-Meal Program
April 27, 2003 -- Bolster Children’s Fund during Skip a Meal weekKiwanians with an appetite for serving children can satisfy their cravings by participating in Skip a Meal for the Kiwanis Children’s Fund, now through May 4. All proceeds collected during the week are earmarked for the fund established by the Kiwanis International Foundation (KIF) to provide grants for children’s programs worldwide. To participate, all you have to do is miss one meal and contribute the unspent money to the KIF. (If health or other reasons preclude skipping a meal, simply skip or scrimp on an activity such as missing a round of golf or eating at a less-expensive restaurant and send the savings to the KIF.) By giving up just one meal, Kiwanis-family members help fund the numerous programs made possible through the Kiwanis Children’s Fund. And 100 percent of contributions received will be used directly to help children. Click here for more information, or contact the Kiwanis International Foundation, ext. 155; e-mail, foundation@kiwanis.org. Kiwanis Leadership Guide - Lt. Gov's May Agenda
